Does a corner in your house need a little colour?
I have several framed works available at a reasonable price in beautiful raw oak for that special spot in the home.
Each of these feature a floral grown up here in the botanical areas of the Dandenong Ranges showcased against some vintage props - fabric or container.
They are all original works in oil and are ready for your wall.
Across the road from our home are the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Gardens.
They have a stunning range of plants particularly Rhododendrons and initially it was established as a garden for local Rhododendron and Azalea enthusiasts.
Although you are not allowed to take cuttings from inside the gardens there is nothing stopping you helping yourself to a few blooms that hang over the fence line onto the road.
This particular specimen I was fortunate to find of one of our daily dog walks along with the glorious bunch of Gum nuts!
I am never short of inspiration for my still...
I love to treasure hunt at op shops - its the thrill of finding that special item! Last week I was very fortunate to find two rolls of unused and still in original packaging wallpaper dating to the 1970's

This painting (currently available at Bluethumb) has many design elements from the 1970's from fabrics and pottery.
Nasturtiums are the perfect choice in this Vintage colour way as Orange and...
This larger size painting is my entry for the Bluethumb Art Prize 2020...... UPDATE - SOLD!
It is a slightly surreal painting, a still life with moving parts...
The daffodils from our 100 year old mountain garden, the background inspired by Vintage Sanderson Linen fabric to create an effect of an abundance of flowers from the vase.
I would like to say that NO animals were hurt in the creation of this original painting in oils, the layout is pure imagination.
In a previous career spanning 20 years I worked as a Vintage dealer. Basically vintage and antique pieces for interiors. The thing I loved about it the most was hunting down old items, I found them then and still do absolutely fascinating. Now that I have moved into my Art career full time I'm enjoying including some favourite items into my paintings.
These egg cups for example date from the early 1900's from England whilst the background is a 1960's seersucker tablecloth fabric.
Although I sold off most of my old items when I closed my previous business down,...
