Kipling and the Russian Doll - Original Oil Book Painting

Combining my love of Antiques and Vintage with my oil painting, I have painted a portrait of an Antique style Doll influenced by the maker Gala Smaga to the back cover of an old ANTIQUE book -BARRACK ROOM BALLADS - RUDYARD KIPLING

An original oil painting will be varnished and ready for display. I planned on displaying with the book splayed open to show both the cover and the painting however works just as well closed. 

The book is extremely old and has a lovely ornate ART NOUVEAU cover and some illustrations inside. It dates to 1915
