First in a group of studies to loosen up my painting style and develop my painting technique.
This painting has less detail in the background with more of a focus on the blooms themselves. I wanted to cut back on all over detail.

A bit of texture as working "alla prima" on this one. Completed in a day with wet on wet paint. I normally work with glazes so this is a nice change for me for a bit!
