Nasturtium Paddle painting #2

These nasturtiums grow quite profusely in the gardens of your mountain home so are a wonderful reminder of summer here on the mountain.

Painted on a solid wood paddle which was sourced from our local 100 year old Primary school. These paddles are VERY old and were originally used by students as part of their Physical Education program. As a result they are beautifully worn and scuffed to show a reminder of simpler times. 

The yellow paint is original to the paddle and I have left it as a chippy background to the still life. 

The paddle is solid wood and measures approximately 35cm x 18cm x 2cm

I have placed a "D" Ring to the back so it can be hung on a wall, but also works just as well leaning as part of a display. The paddle will be signed by the artist to the back once completely dry.

These are the VERY LAST of these old Olinda primary school paddles I have and once they are gone they are GONE as no more can be sourced.
